FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHAT IS YOUR BACKGROUND?
I am a graduate of the Internet Scoping School, where I have been thoroughly trained in punctuation, reading steno, medical terminology, transcript production, and using Case CATalyst. In addition, I have a pre-law bachelor’s degree in Government and International Relations and extensive experience in veterinary medicine, including as a civilian military employee.
With these experiences, I became adept at research and always apply that knowledge to each transcript I receive, whether it be confirming name spellings, technical language, or medical diagnoses, et cetera. My background also gives me a unique familiarity with legal, medical, and military terminology and processes, making me a well-rounded scopist.
WHAT SOFTWARE DO YOU USE?
I currently use Case CATalyst Version 21.67 and am committed to staying updated with any new updates Stenograph provides.
DO YOU READ STENO?
Yes. I have been fully trained in steno through ISS, and reading steno is actually one of my favorite parts of the job.
